About Sweeby
Sweeby makes the things that go on the nursery floor in the first two years: somewhere safe for the baby to play, somewhere comfortable for you to change them, and somewhere to keep the diapers.
What Sweeby makes
Five baby playpens, each built a different way. The Fold-Flat Playpen opens and folds in one piece. The Walk-In Gate Playpen has a gate that latches twice. The Modular Playpen clicks together into a rectangle, a square or an L. The Hidden Gate Playpen keeps its gate inside a plain wall and comes as small as 47 by 47 inches. The Classic Gate Playpen has a lockable gate on a 24-inch wall.
Beside them sit a folding changing table that sets at four heights and rolls on locking wheels, and a hanging caddy with six compartments for diapers, wipes and cream. Together they make up the Sweeby lineup.
Who it is for
Parents of a baby who has just learned to crawl and will not stay on the blanket anymore. Parents in apartments who need the living room back every evening. Grandparents who look after the baby two days a week and cannot lift a toddler over a wall forty times a day.

How the range is put together
Sweeby has been making nursery gear for 6 years, since 2020, and the range has stayed small on purpose. Every playpen comes in the sizes parents measure for, from 47 by 47 to 79 by 71 inches, and in the quiet colors most living rooms already have: beige, light khaki, grays and black.
What changes from one playpen to the next is how you get in and how it folds, because those are the two things you do every day. That is the Sweeby approach: change what you touch forty times a day, and keep the rest the same. Wall height stays at 27 inches on four of the five.
A playpen is for play
A playpen gives you a few minutes with both hands free while your child plays where you can see them. It is not a bed, and it works with you in the room, not instead of you. For sleep, the American Academy of Pediatrics points parents to a crib, bassinet, portable crib or play yard that meets federal sleep standards.
