Set the top at one of four heights between 33.5 and 36.4 inches, so a tall parent and a short grandparent both change a diaper standing straight. Lock the wheels while the baby is on it. When the nursery needs the floor back, fold it and roll it behind the door.

Leave a foot to walk around
Keep about 12 inches between the playpen and anything you need to reach: a drawer, a window, the path to the kitchen.
Count the children, not the toys
One crawler plays happily in 59 by 59 inches. Twins, a visiting cousin or a parent sitting inside with them need 71 by 59 or 79 by 71.
